Review of Rosanna Leo's Sweet Hell!

Once again Rosanna Leo had me clinging to the edge of my seat, and a cold shower is definitely in order, at least once I can collect my scattered wits again.  In her novel Sweet Hell we are reintroduced to the Greek god Dionysus, who we met in the first novel For the Love of God.  Only this time Dionysus falls victim to the same emotion that he ridiculed his cousin Eryx for, love.  Dionysus had too loved and lost, but he kept it mostly to himself.  On a random visit to see Eryx and his new wife Maia, Dionysus drops into a little Italian bakery where he comes across the messy woman named Josie.

Josie works in the bakery that has been in her family for a number of years, trying to help her idiot brothers who seem to be running the business into the ground.  She gave up her dream to help them.  Then in walks Dionysus, a man who acts like a jerk and in a womanizer, at least in her estimation.  What she doesn’t realize is that he is a God, not that he just thinks he is one.

The two of them are drawn together, and just when it seems that they might thaw towards each other, here comes trouble.  The two of them are forced on a journey through Hades, hell itself, in order to bring a couple back together.  While Josie feels compassion for the man who forced them on this journey, Dionysus must face his demons regarding the man and his past.

Will they survive the journey?  Will they finally admit that they love each other?  Wish I could tell you, but you need to find out for yourself.  Just remember, after reading the novel, an ice bath might be what you need to cool back down!  Happy Reading!  J

Rosanna Leo has her degree in history and literature, as well as in classical singing. She currently resides in Toronto, Canada. Her favorite things are her family, libraries, and her mother's gnocchi. Rosanna loves it when the geeky, awkward girl gets the hot guy, and has made it her mission to see this happen in her books as much as possible.
