K.B. Miller Review and Blog Tour! Come join the fun!

Book Blurb- Compulsion
A family secret kept hidden has been exposed, and the consequences could be deadly.

After Lilyann Moon's beloved grandmother dies shrouded by a veil of mystery, she and her young family members are yanked from their completely normal lives and catapulted directly into the supernatural world of witchcraft. A world they know absolutely nothing about.

The town of Hampstead, Maryland has no idea of the monsters that lurk in their midst. Or, of the dangers they will face if the Moon Coven doesn't figure out how to embrace the magick within each of them, especially Lily.

She's suddenly up to her little pointy black hat in magickal problems. Destiny presented her with one more, and it's a big one - vampires.

The only bright spot in this nightmare was meeting Mason. But, is she in love with the enemy? Lilyann is in a race against time to save her town and coven. Will she survive the coming dangers, with her heart and neck intact?

It all comes down to this one night...

All Hallows Eve.

Review
I feel like I have been waiting for years to read this book!  I have to say, it definitely lived up to the hype!  This story is about Lilyann Moon and her siblings and cousins who have now inherited the honor of being the sole members of the Moon Coven.  After their grandmother is murdered, they are pulled into a fight for their lives.  I was biting my nails the entire time, wanting to yell at those baddies to leave Lily and Mason alone!  Btw, Mason....yea....OMG is all I can say.  I’d love to ask Mrs. Miller where she came up with that amazing creature and where I could possibly get one of my own.
I’ll admit, it took me a few chapters to remember all of the characters within this book because there are A LOT.  12 members of the Moon Coven total, which is hard to remember, especially for me.  They are all so unique and intriguing, but I have to say that my favorite character was Riona, Lily’s cousin and Seer.  When she began to have a vision, I held my breath in anticipation.  You never know if what she is going to reveal will be utterly torturous, or will bring a bout of happiness upon the rest of the coven.
I have to say, I truly enjoyed this novel and now I will be anxiously awaiting the next one.  I am enthralled with this unique pack of witches and a certain Vamp that I would LOVE to bring home with me.  So, I leave you with this:  Go get your copy of Compulsion NOW!  You won’t be disappointed!

Thank you K.B. Miller for taking the time to sit down and chat with us!  I hope you all enjoy a peek into her brain....yum....brains....okay, the zombie is away! Let us begin!

When did you first know that writing was what you wanted to do as a career?
In all honesty, I don't think of writing as a career or a job. It's my passion.

When you are working on a book, do you plan ahead, or do you let the story flow as you write?
I am definitely an outline "mapper" LOL.  But, the "meat" of the story just sort of pours out. Sometimes faster than I can type ;)

Is there a special place in your home that you work at?
The Batcave~~ In my bedroom, there is a little nook where my desk is located and it seems that's where the best writing happens for me.

Are any of your characters in your books based on people that you know in real life?
Yes! Lots of them, and then others are completely made up. Usually I'll see someone at the store or post office and one of their mannerisms or the way they say a word will start my head turning and bippity-boppity-boo... you have a character.

Do you have an interesting writing quirk? Maybe something that you have to do while writing, or something that you have to do before you start writing?
Before I begin writing for the day, I take a shower. For some weird reason it always sparks REALLY great ideas, LOL.

What is your opinion on Indie publishing versus mainstream publishing?
I think that both are great. It just depends on what's right for you personally. For me, it's definitely being an Indie Author :)

Do you hear from your fans a lot? If so, what are some of the best & worst things that you have heard?
I actually do! They're fantastic. I honestly haven't received any negative feedback from fans. They're supportive, loving, and always interactive. I know that every Author says this, but I really do have THE best fans!

What does your family think of your writing?
They have been really good about keeping my two worlds separate. When we are doing family things, I want to be mentally with them.

How has being published changed your life, if any way?
The only thing that has really changed is that more people know me, know about my work. That's awesome and terrifying at the same time.

What are you currently working on?  We would love to know what is coming next from you.
I'm working on a few different things at the moment. I can't really go into detail, but they are going to rock your world.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to be a writer?
Write. Keep writing, no matter what anyone tells you.

What was the hardest part of writing your book?
Getting myself to sit down and focus;)
What hardships have you encountered while writing your books?
I haven't had a problem with writing my books, the issues come after you gain a little success.  There are always people that try to make you doubt yourself.

What books (or authors) have influenced you the most during your career?
Willow Cross, Jennifer Malone Wright, JH Glaze have shown me so much. I am forever indebted to them.
But, also LJ Smith, Richelle Mead, and Stephanie Meyer are some of my favorites :)

Author Bio:
Okay, so I'm supposed to tell you about me...
Seriously, if I wrote a book about myself it would take you 10 minutes to read and you would be bored stiff after the first 2! LOL

I'm a full-time writer, wife, and mother. Which basically means there's always a surplus of pencils lost somewhere in my hair, I usually have some place to be(I'm always late), I have a bad habit of calling family and friends random character's names (from my books), I talk to myself because no one else listens to me, and I can throw together a mean dinner for 8 with only 10 minutes notice and four ingredients in the pantry, LOL.

If you can't find me on the sidelines of my sons' football games, online, cooking, cleaning, shopping, at the local coffee joint or on the phone wandering aimlessly throughout my house then I've probably hidden myself in my "bat-cave" to write.

I have a positive attitude, and absolute fun-loving approach to life. That makes it easy for the voices in my head to take over on a regular basis providing endless hours of entertainment for my pleasure, and hopefully yours.
